By Brenda Nilson PARK RIVER, N•D. -- As another year comes to an end, be sure to take a few moments to re- flect on 2014. At Park River Area Elementary we have learned, laughed, cheered, explored, and celebrat- ed. It's been an exciting year as we have launched our 1:1 tech- nology initiative. We've had some growing pains, but skills are improving and we are learning something new each and every day. We also incorporated a new language arts series this year. It has been a challenging transition as we align our curriculum to Common Core standards, but, as always, our staff and students are prepared to tackle this challenge! As we move into the New Year, we will continue to work hard to make 2015 full of memorable learning experiences• The staffis looking forward to devoting a great deal of time and energy to plan for our upcoming remodel/building project. Thanks to all who voted "Yes" to support this venture! What a great op- portunity for us to create the best learning environment we can for our students! How fortunate are we to be part of a community who puts education first! Lastly, we'd like to thank everyone who contributed to our fleece blanket drive.
