Please follow the directions even though they seem queer, at least the first time you bake these. DATE NUT COOKIES Cut fine 2 cups nuts and 11/ cups dates. Add ]/ cup sugar, 1 tea- spoon vanilla and grated rind of a lemon or orange. Mix all thor- oughly. Fold in beaten whiles of 3 eggs. Drop by spoonful on sugared night. cooky sheets and let stand over Bake 10 minutes In 250 degree oven. Let cool before removing from pan.
