Merry Christmas everyone
and Happy New Year!
On the 24th of November, did you clip the. recipe "Holiday
Broccoli" which is good? I said in that column I would write
it up for Christmas, Here it is again.
Holiday Broccoli
2 (10oz.) Pkgs. frozen cut broccoli * 2 tsp. Chicken bouillon
granules * 2 Cans Cream of Celery soup * 1/2 Cup grated
sharp cheese * Pimento
Cook broccoli with bouillon granules in water till just
tender. Heat soup to boiling. Pour over broccoli. Garnish
with cheese and pimento.
Now that "kids" are home for the Holidays let them help
with a meal. These "Barbecued Beef Burgers" are easy to
make.
Barbecued Beef Burgers
I lb. Ground beef* 1 Medium onion * I Small can of tomato
sauce * 2 Tbsp. Prepared mustard * 2 Tbsp. Brown sugar *
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce * I 1/2 tsp. Salt
Lightly brown beef and onion in heated fry pan. Pour off
excess drippings. Add tomato sauce, mustard, brown sugar,
Worcestershire sauce and salt to meat. Bring to a boil,
reduce heat and simmer.
Bologna Boat Sandwich
1 Slice Bologna * 1 Slice American cheese * 2 Slices bread
Place a slice of bologna on a microwave safe plate. Put one
slice of American cheese on top of the slice of bologna. The
bologna will curl up on the edges as it cooks, forming a boat
for the cheese. Microwave for about 40 seconds. Place
between two slices of bread.
Bugs on a Log ,
Celery sticks * Peanut Butter * Raisins
Clean celery stalks, cut into 3 inch sticks. Fill with peanut
butter. These will look just like logs. For the bugs, top with
raisins. (Cheese Whiz may be used in place of peanut butter.)

Seven Rustlers 4-H

DAHLEN, N.D. -- A meeting
of the Seven Rustlers 4-H Club
was held on Sunday, December
12th at 7 p.m. in the Dahlen Fire
Hall. Meeting was called to
order. Roll Call was taken with
22 members and three leaders
present. Secretary's report was
given. Treasurer's report was
given.
Old Business: Discussion was
held on where to have the
Christmas Party. It was decided
to have it on January 23rd at
Liberty Lanes starting at 1 p.m.
Terri Gorder will no longer be a
leader for the club. Seven
Rustlers 4-H Club would like to
thank Terri for her time as a
leader with us.
New Business: Dates for
Livestock Judging Team practice
are Wednesday, December 15 @

Discussion was held on giving a
donation to the Dahlen Fire
Department for the use of the
meeting room for our club
meetings. A donation of $200.00
will be given to them. We drew
names for the Christmas gift
exchange we will have at our
Christmas Party. Members were
asked for ideas for the 4-H
Variety Show. Meeting
adjourned. A demonstration on
Snowmobile Safety was given by
Aaron Trenda, Cole Tennison
