selects Katelyn Anderson to intern
at the Walsh County Press Spoilers falls short at home

High School senior
Katelyn Anderson, 17,
always has had an in-
terest in writing, now
she is taking it to a
professional level and
building her portfolio.
Anderson recently
accepted an internship
from the North
Dakota Newspaper
Association Education
Foundation though the
Walsh County Press.
Throughout the
school year, she will
be completing work in
the areas of reporting,
photography and/or
newspaper/advertising
design.
She said that she
applied fbr the intern-
ship position because
she is interested in a
fiiture in writing.
"'1 want to be a jour-
nalist," she said. "I
thought it would be a
good experience."
So fhr, she said that
her plans are to attend
Roosevelt University
in Chicago. She said
that she fell in love

with the city during
the school choir trip,
so when the school's
admissions program
reached out to her, she
was very interested in
their program.
She said that the in-
ternship with the Press
sounded like a good
starting point.
In order to fulfill

the internship she will
be expected to work a
minimum of 62.5
hours and upon com-
pletion of the intern-
ship she will submit a
written report of her
experience.
Anderson is the
daughter of Bob and
Deb Anderson.

Houser present. Also in attendance were
the members of the Adams School District
and Bonnie Zahradka, Adams Business
Manager and the election officials of the
Park River School voting site.
President Hahn called the meeting to
order at 9:25 pm.
The Board canvassed the votes cast
in the Special Election held on November
6, 2012. There were 273 votes cast as

reorganization.
