James Allen Fer- guson was born Jan- uary 30, 1961 in Park River, ND the son of the late John D. and Dorothy D. (Thompson) Fergu- son. He grew up and attended school in Park River, graduating from Park River High School. He attended AVTI in East Grand Forks, MN and graduated in Farm Man- agement. Jim returned to Park Riv- er and farmed with his brother Kevin for 10 years. He was united in marriage to Barb Johnson on July 9, 1987 in LasVegas, NV. The cou- ple made their home near Park River. For the last 25 years Jim has worked for Brace and Tom Fager- holt Farms near Hoople. He was a charter member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, member number 120, the Walsh County Curling Club and Our Sav- iour's Lutheran Church. He en- joyed fishing, hunting and planting his food plot for the deer. He was a Thursday night card player, an avid Park River Aggie Booster and loved to spend time with his family, es- pecially when it came to working the food plot. Jim is survived by his wife, Barb, Park River, ND; sons: Riley of Park River and Kyle of Fargo, ND; his sib- lings: Dawn (Lar ) Ellingson, Parker, CO; Kevin (Kathy) Ferguson, Park Riv- er, ND and Jeffrey Ferguson, Los Angeles, CA; nieces and nephews: Shawn Ferguson, Washington, DC; Justin (Tanya) Ferguson, Park River, ND; Nicholas and Vanessa Ellingson, Parker, CO; Ethan, Taylor and Piper Ferguson, all of Park River, ND. He was pre- ceded in death by his parents, broth- er Jon and nephew J.J. Ferguson. Funeral services were held Tues- day, November 15, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Park River. Visition was Monday, November 14, 2016 from 5-7 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Our Saviour's Luther- an Church. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Park River, ND.
