son, age 81 of Cleve-
land Township,
Walsh County, ND
passed away on
Tuesday, October 10,
2017 at the First Care
Health Center of
Park River.
Marlys Y. Corah
was born August 22,
1936 near Dahlen,
ND the daughter of
the late Emil and Ei-
lene (Rustebakke) Corah. She at-
tended schools near Lankin and
graduated from Lankin High
School. Following her education,
Marlys was united in marriage to
Dennis Carlson on October 24,
1954 at the Lankin Lutheran
Church. The couple lived and
fanned in Cleveland Township un-
til his death on Sept. 16, 2014.
Marlys .continuedto make her home
on the farm.
She was a member of the Quale
Lutheran Church and WELCA and
the Bosh-Ryba American Legion
Auxiliary. Marlys held several of-
rices in both organizations: She
was active in a bowling league
and was able to bowl in a Nation-
al Tournament. Her greatest love
was spending time with her grand-
children and great grandchildren.
Marlys is survived by her chil-
dren: Craig (Janice) Carlson, San
Carlson
Diego, CA; Chris-
tine (Jeffrey) Fer-
guson, Grafion, ND
and Rick (Jennifer)
Carlson, Fordville,
ND; her seven
grandchildren:
Samantha (Mark)
Huso, Holly
(Travis) Stegrnan,
Nicholas Carlson,
Whitney Carlson,
Kirsten Ferguson,
Landon Wood and
Bryce Wood, her five great grand-
children: Nevaeh Huso, Taven
Huso, Drake Stegmart, Griffan Huso,
LaVelle Stegrnan, her sister, Karen
Peterson, Park River, ND. She was
preceded in death by her parents,
husband, an infant son and her sis-
ter, Janice Kosobud.
Funeral services were held Sat-
urday, October 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM
at the Quale Lutheran Churcfi, ru-
ral Fordville, ND. Visitation was Fri-
day from 5-7 PM with a prayer serv-
ice at 7:00 PM and again on Satur-
day for one hour prior to the serv-
ice all at Quale Lutheran Church. In-
terment will be at the church ceme-
tery.
