I. All exhibits must be en-
tered at the Walsh County Fair
Building, on Wednesday, October
21, between 3:30-6:00 pm.
Please NOTE this the only entry
time for exhibits. Exhibit tags
are available at the Extension
Office, and can be obtained prior
to Fair week. Exhibits are judged
at 9:00 am onThursday, October
22. The Art Show Division area
will be closed for viewing at this
time
2. All exhibits must be picked
up between 9:00 am-I1:00 am,
on Saturday, October 24. Premi-
ums will be withheld on exhibits
removed from the fair prior to
Release Time,

HANG. Eye screws and heavy
wire hangings or other hanger
appropriate for the weignt of the
exhibit are required. However,
saw tooth hangers are not ac-
ceptable for hanging. If exhibit is
not ready for hanging, exhibitor
will be charged $ 1.00 per hanger.
Exhibits not ready for hanging
are considered unfinished. Art
Show Committee is not respon-
sible for exhibits damaged due
to being improperly hung.
4. All exhibits are the ex-
hibitors' responsibility. The
Walsh County Extension Office
and the Walsh County Fair will
not be held responsible for lost,
stolen, or damaged exhibits.
5. Exhibits will be on display
at the Fair Building during regu-
lar Fair hours.
6.All exhibits must be actual,
original work of the exhibitor.

The artists' work must not be a
copy of another artists' work.
The exhibitors must be of show-
manship quality and not previ-
ously entered in competition at
the Art Show. Class work items
or their copies must be student's
own work.
7. Three (3) entries per ex-
hibitor are allowed in each lot
for the articles that will be
judged. The exhibitor may also
have up to 5 additional works
for display and sale in art, sculp-
ture, woodcarving, pottery
and/or photography. Exhibits in
the art division are limited in size
to 30" x 36", depending on avail-
ability of space.
8. Exhibitors'.may sell articles,
but the article cannot be dis-
mantled until the end of the
Show. Each exhibitor must han-
dle all business transactions on
the sale of the article.
9.The exhibitors' age should
be written on the tags for the
Junior, Youth, and Pre-Youth Di-
visions.
I 0.4-H'ers are not allowed to
compete in the Open Class Art
Show with the same articles
they have exhibited in the 4-H
divisions.
II. In all divisions, I st, 2nd,
and 3rd place ribbons may be
given on merit according to the
Judges' discretion. A maximum
of I blue, red, and white ribbon
may be given per Lot in the Jun-
ior and Youth Divisions. How-
ever, all Junior and Youth
Division exhibitors will receive
either a blue, red, white or an
exhibitor ribbon.
12. Premiums are not given to
the Pre-School Art Division; ex-
hibitor will receive a participa-
tion ribbon.
13. A "Division Champion"
ribbon will be given in each Art
and Photography Division. An
Overall "Judges Choice" Sweep-
stake ribbon will also be given.
In case of a blue ribbon tie in a
Division, red and white ribbons
will be counted.
14. A pretest made against
any entry or against any decision
of the Judges' must be made in
writing within 24 hours. All
protests must be made to the
Art Show Committee. The
protest must state plainly the
cause of complaint or appeal,
with specific charges and facts.
All questions in dispute or dif-
ferences not covered by these
rules shall be referred to the
governing Walsh County Fair
Board whose decisions shall be
final.

5) Captions, if used, are not

are to be placed in lower left
hand corner.
6) Prints can be framed,
mated, or placed on hardboard.
