He was born Oct. 15, 1934 in Grand Forks, ND and his parents were Knute and Myrtle Trygg of Park River. He at- tended Park River Elementary school and continued at Walsh County Agricultural School at Park River until graduation on May of 1953. After graduation, John attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks where he played on the UND Basketball team and graduated from there in 1957. He continued coaching basketball and football for several years. He then joined Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and his job there sent him to several countries in Europe of which one was Norway. Both John and his wife Lona were Norwegian heritage so she would go with him. Her dad AlafMalde was from Norway and they kept in contact with his family members there. Alaf was a talented ice skater. John continued at Northwestern Bell Telephone through several name changes and retired at Denver, Colo. He then moved to Overland, Kan., where he raised his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lona after a long illness in January 1999. He is survived by his wife, Joan J. Trygg; children : Kari Miller (Paul), Kyle Trygg (Sue), and Karm Trygg (Kris); bonus chil- dren, Amy Carson (John) and Jennifer Fredrickson (Tom); en grandchildren; Hannah Miller, John Forrest Miller, Gabriel Miller, Katie Trygg, Emily Trygg, Sierra Trygg, Sedona Trygg, Ava Carson, Audrey Carson, and Ian Carson. Lan- gowski, age 73 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, September 01, 2014 at his home in Grafton. John V. Lan- gowski was born July 19, 1941 in Park River, ND the son of the late Joseph P. and Eme- line M. (Kadlec) Langowski. He at- tended schools in Grafton and lat- er went through basic training with the North Dakota National Guard in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He re- turned to Grafton and worked as farm labor and in the construction trades until his health forced him to retire in 1990. He continued to make his home in Grafton until his death. John is survived by his sib- lings: Vicky (Jim) Bryn, Reno, NV; Joe (Janet) Langowski, Pacif- ic, WA Odo (Chris) Langowski, Peoria, AZ; Buster (Connie) Langowski, Hazen, ND; Ora (Henry) Meyer, Pacific, WA; Jeanne (Frank) Quinn, Santa Rosa, CA; Lester Langowski, Grafton, ND; Mary (Wally) Sturdivant, West Fargo, ND; Sylvia (Maurel) Mattson, West Far- go, ND; Veronica (Arlyn) Askim, Park River, ND; Georgia (Scott) Udby, Lankin, ND; broth- er-in-law, Ray Pras- ka, Seattle, WA, sis- ter-in-law, Cathy Langowski, Santa Rosa, CA. Sev- eral nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Inny Praska and brother, Mark Langowski. Memorial services were held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evan- gelist Catholic Church of Graffon. Visitation was Tuesday one hour prior to the service. "Tom" Cudmore, age 61 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, Sep- tember 1, 2014 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Thomas Clayton Cudmore was born December 22, 1952 in Park River, ND the son of Clayton and Elizabeth (Kasprick) Cudmore. He grew up and attended school in Park River. As a child he started work- ing with his father and continued to work with him until 1973 when he ventured out on his own in the farming and construction business. Tom was united in mar- riage to Sandra Aabrekke on Feb- ruary 5, 1971 in Minnewaukan, ND. The couple made their home in Park River until 1986 when they moved to Grafton.
