THE WALSH CouNTY PRESS WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2014 Pa e 9 , i i ii i , ,~1, i ' i By Sally Larson PARK RIVER, N.D. -- The Walsh County Saddle Club host- ed the second annual Aggie Bar- rel Series that took place on Wednesdays in June and finals on July 2nd. All runs took place at the Aggie Arena located just south of the Walsh County Fair building in Park River. We had approxi- mately 60 riders at each run, which is up in numbers from last year. The reason we started this Barrel Series was there are several barrel racing families involved in the Walsh County Saddle Club so we decided to host our own se- ries and it seems to grow bigger every year. We are thrilled that so many want to come participate. Not only do we have great par- ticipation, we have a lot of local spectators who enjoy the enter- tainment value. It's a win, win for our community.
