The Park River Senior Citizens would like

Root Beer Float Fundraiser on July 31 at
Jim's Super Valu. It was a very success-
ful day and we thank you most sincerely

Good Samaritan Society- Park River,
would like to thank everyone who came
out and supported us at our Garden Party
Fundraiser on August 4th. We were able
to raise roughly $3,200.00, which will be
used to help replace the floor in our cen-
ter's dining room. We would also like to
thank the businesses and individuals that
donated to our event and helped to make
it such a success! We couldn't have

Eunice I. Borgeson
Eunice I. Barge-
son, age 86 of Park
River and formerly
of Adams, ND
passed away on Sun-
day, August 11,2013
at the Good Samari-
tan Center of Park
River.
Eunice I. Vigen
was born October
14, 1926 in Silvesta
Township, Walsh
County, ND the
daughter of the late
Nils N. and Gena (Bolstad) Vigen.
She was baptized and confirmed
at Adams Mountain Lutheran
Church. She attended rural schools
in Silvesta Township and gradu-
ated from Adams High School. In
1944 she attended Summer Col-
lege at Mayville State and Valley
City State College. She taught
school in Tiber Township and
Hoagie, North Dakota. Eunice
was united in marriage to Arthur
Borgeson on June 11, 1946 in
Adams, ND. The couple lived
near Park River until 1948 when
they purchased a farm near
Fairdale, North Dakota. The cou-
ple lived and farmed between
Adams and Fairdale until retiring
in 1979. The couple continued to
live on the farm until the late
1990's when they moved into
Adams. Arthur passed away Aug.
10, 2008 and Eunice moved to the
Good Sam Assisted Living Cen-
ter in Fargo. She lived there until
July of 2010 when she moved to
the Good Samaritan Center in
Park River, ND.
Eunice was a member of the
Adams Mountain Lutheran
Church and WELCA. She served
as past president of the WELCA.
Eunice was a Sunday school in-
structor for many
years and loved
working with the
younger children.
She was a member
of the Adams
American Legion
Auxiliary, the
Adams Friendship
Club and rural
Homemakers.
She is survived
by her children:
Douglas (Doris)
Borgeson, Blue
Grass, IA; Debra Borgeson, Far-
go, ND; Donald (Beverly) Barge-
son, Mexico, MO; Deanne Barge-
son (Larry Bauste), Detroit Lakes,
MN; David (Norma) Borgeson,
West Fargo, ND; Daniel (Sharon)
Borgeson, Rochester, MN; Duane
(Susan) Borgeson, Sartell, MN; 15
grandchildren, two great grand-
children and her sister, Gilma
McLean, Hillsboro, ND. Several
nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, and brothers:
Lloyd, Albert, Glenn and Vernon
and sister, Merna Bjerke.
Funeral services will be Thurs-
day, August 15, 2013 at 10:00
A.M. at Adams Mountain Luther-
an Church, Adams, ND. Visitation
will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM
with a prayer service at 7:00 PM
at the Toilefson Funeral Home of
Park River. Friends may also call
at the church on Thursday for one
hour prior to the service. Interment
will be at Trinity Cemetery,
Adams, ND.
