Pa, e 2 THE WALSH COUNTY PRESS WEDNESDAY, AUGUST I 2, 2015 Agnes M. Falter, age 96 passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at First Care Health Center of Park River, ND. Agnes M. Kotas- ka was born July 31, 1919 in Park River, ND the daughter of the late Alois and Rose (Kadlovec) Kotaska. She was the oldest in person in Park River that was born in Park River. She grew up and attended school in Park Riv- er. Agnes was united in marriage to Harold Falter on April 11, 1939 in Hecla, SD. During their early mar- fled life they had to move around to find work. They lived in Muskegon, MI all the way to Port- land, OR. Agnes always said, "Life with Dad was never boring." They moved to Park River, ND and Agnes owned and operated Fal- ter's Children's Wear. She was also co-owner of Harold's Bar. They also had apartments above the bar. Agnes was a 2nd generation Czech Pioneer Family of the USA, In order to qualify as a pioneer fam- ily, they had to be here by 1870. She was a caring mother and matriarch of her family. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church andA1- tar Society as well as the hospital auxiliary. She was also a charter member of the Park River Senior Citizens. She is survived by her chil- M. Falter dren: Rosemary Miller, Anoka, MN; Margaret (Curtis) Douville, Anoka, MN; Teresa (Chris) Nielsen, Park River, ND; Mark Falter, St. Croix Falls, WI and Patrick (Wendy) Falter, Jamestown, ND; 11 grandchildren: Nicole Miller, Arli- gen Miller, Katy Ditmarsen, Merci Schoknecht, Vincent Douville, An- drea Eskuchen, Casie and Paige Falter, Trevor, Dirk and Adam Nielsen; 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold on Mar. 20 ,1997, sister, Emma Amess, broth- ers: Ernest and Elmer Kotaska, grandson, Rick Miller and great granddaughter, Emilee Ann Dou- ville. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Park Riyer, ND. Visitation will be Wediaesday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Bjom- son, age 66 of St. Thomas, ND passed away on Tuesday, August 04, 2015 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. LuJune A. Pa- penfuss was born January 27, 1949 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of the late Louis and June (Gaffney) Papen- fuss. She grew up in Cavalier and Park River and graduated from the Walsh County Agricultural School in 1967. She attended Mayville State University for one year be- fore returning to Park River where she worked for Welch's Bakery. She was united in marriage to Dar- rell Bjomson on January 10, 1970 in Park River. The couple made their home there until moving to St. Thomas in 1975. She was a stay at',home morn for a time and later worked as a cook at the St. Thomas school, and at the St. Thomas Caf6 and C-Store. She was a member of the St. Thomas, Catholic Church and Altar Society, president of the Funeral Colmnittee at the church, the Ottum-Ball American Legion Auxiliary, a past member and president of the Culture and Hob- by Guild. She enjoyed working the elections, going to movies, reading and especially spending Bjornson time with her grandchildren. LuJune is sur- vived by her chil- dren: Michael (Wendy) Bjomson, St. Thomas, ND, Mathew Bjornson, Grand Forks, ND, Timothy (Taryn) Bjomson, Graffon, ND, grandchildren: Blake, Natalie, Jaxon, Brynleigh and Beau, siblings: Keith (Judy) Papenfuss, Park River, ND, Jen- nifer LaFrenz, Pearsall, TX, Kevin (Kay) Papenfuss, Park River, ND, David (Kristy) Lansing, Warren, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Darrell in 2011, and brother Timothy Pa- penfuss. Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Thomas Catholic Church. Visitation was Friday from 5-7, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollef- son Funeral Home of Grafton. Inurnment will be at the St. Thomas City Cemetery. Lor- ton, age 71 of Park River, ND passed away on Tuesday, August 04, 2015 at First Care Health Center of Park Riv- er with her family at her side. Yvonne K. Lor- ton was born April 18, 1944 in Park River, ND the daughter of the late Melvin and Alpha (Wang) Peter- son. She grew up and attended school in Park River, graduating from the Walsh County Agricul- tural School. She attended Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks, ND. On April 10, 1965 she was united in marriage to Gerald Lor- ton at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Park River. Together they raised two children, Kim and Michael. Yvonne worked at the Grand Forks Clinic, Northside Grocery and Jim's Super Valu. She was a member of Our Sav- iour's Lutheran Church and WEL- CA, Park River, ND; the Park River American Legion Auxiliary, Park River Jaycee's. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, doing word search puzzles and shop- ping. She is survived by her children: Kim (Scott) Helt, Rochester, MN; Michael (Deena) Lorton, Park River, ND; three grand- daughters that she loved and cherished with all her heart, Stephanie & Katie Helt and Meghan Lorton. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services were held Fri- day, August 7, 2015 at 10:00A.M. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church of Park River. Visitation was Thurs- day from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Park River, ND.
