Attn: JHS Class of 1962 The Jena High School Class of 1962 will have a planning meeting on [ht.sday, August 14 at 6 p.m. at the Woodmen of the World IAdge in Jena. Homecoming this year at JHS is planned for October 19. Anyone wanting to help is urged to attend. Your presence would be greatly appreciated! If you have questions, please call 318-374-9825 or 318-312-1499. Calling All Sisters "Calling All Sisters" will be held at New Evergreen Baptist Clmrch on Saturday, August 4th. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and all ladies are welcome to attend. The church is located at 1120 Church Street in Jena. 4-H Livestock Project Any youth that would like to participate in the 4- H Livestock Program should contact the LSU AgCenter office in LaSalle Parish. The possession date for the spring livestock show will be August 15, 2012 for Steers; November 10, 2012 tbr beef breeding, commercial heifers, market lambs, breeding goats, and dairy animals. Possession date for market hogs will be December 1, 2012. Call 992-2205 for more informa- tion and pre-register for validation. LHS Class Of 1982 Reunion If you are a member of the LaSaile High School Class of 1982, please contact us for information on 30-year class reunion details. Tullos Pentecostal Church Tnllos Pentecostal Youth will be having a youth revival on Friday, July 27 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 28 at 6 p.m. Special speaker for the revival will be Rev. Jarrett Wright from Pineland, Texas. Come expecting something great! Homecoming at Pinehill BC Pinehiil Baptist Church will be celebrating their 152nd Homecoming on Sunday, August 12 at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be David Hankins from Alexandria and the guest singer will be Ben Waites from Ball. A covered dish luncheon will be served after the services. Pastor David McGuffee and the church family imte everyone to attend. 14th Annual Praise Fest The 14th Annual Jennifer Robertson Memorial Praise Fest will be held at North Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe on Saturday, August 11 at 6 p.m. There is no charge for the concert, but a love offering will be received and funds collected will be deposited into the Jennifer Robertson Memorial Scholarship Fund at Louisiana College. Praise Fest will once again be a Gaither-style concert featuring various gospel performers. Anyone that would like to sing in the choir is asked to attend a practice on Saturday, August 11 at North Monroe Baptist Church at 9 a.m. The church is located at 210 Finks Hideaway Road in Monroe. Bradford Family Reunion The annual Candy Jim Bradford family reunion will be held at the Woodman of the World Lodge on Saturday, August 1 lth. The Lodge is located at 1720 East Oak Street in Jena. Women's Conference A Women's Conference will be held at Harrisonburg Christian Assembly on Saturday, August llth at 10 a.m. The theme for the conference is "The Power to Let Go!" and will be led by Minister June Gayden, Minister Betty Price and Minister LaRhonda Bowman. Pastor Lynell Hatten and members of the church invite everyone to attend. Leadership Seminar Registrations are being accepted for "Lead LaSalle 2," a 12-hour intermediate leadehip semi- nar which will begin September 6th. Graduates from the Lead LaSaile classes from September 201.1 and April 5 are eligible to attend as well as the LEAD Louisiana graduates from October 2010. Classes will be held September 6, 13, 20 & 27. The time and location of the classes will be deter- ndned by the registrants. Classes will be taught in the afternoon or from 5-8 p.m. Registration doses August 27 and fees have been waived. Hamilton has been at the LADD Center since 2001 and is assigned to the mobile crew, which cleans various churches and businesses in the local area. Hamilton is a hard worker and completes all tasks assigned to him. He is good-nao tured and cooperates with co workers and staff at the center. He resides in Olla with his fa- ther. THE JENA TIMES Olla-Tullos-Urania Signal 5B ] WEDNESDAY, JULY 25, 2012 Margarett Thompson has been selected as the LADD Center Employee of the Month for May 2012. Thompson has been work- ing at LADD for several years. She assists with various center projects such as preparing met chandise for the LADD store, assembling crawfish nets and compiling admit kits for area hospitals. Thompson is friendly and cooperative with her co- workers. She resides in Jena in her own home. Annie Nae Henry has been cho- sen as the LADD Center Em- ployee of the Month for June 2012. Henry has been working at LADD for several years. She is active with the cleaning crew, which does various cleaning du- ties at area churches business- es and churches. She also helps stock merchandise at the LADD Store and is willing to do any other job assigned to her. She resides in Jena with her moth- el'. 4-H Broiler Chicks Order 4-H Club members that would like to participate in the 2012 State Fair of Louisiana should order broiler chicks hy Monday, August 6. Chicks may be ordered from the LaSalle Parish Extension Office located in Room 1 of the LaSalle Parish Courthouse (next to Courtroom). Chicks are tbrty cents each. Checks made out to the Louisiana Poultry Federation must be turned in with the order by August 6. The tentative date of delivery is Thursday, September 13, 2012. The 2012 State Fair Show will be a Straight Run Show. Exhibitors will be allowed to show one pen of pullets and/or one pen of cockerels. An entry must consist of three (3) broilers (either three pullets or three cockerels). For more information, contact the LaSalle Parish office at 992-2205. Centennial Cultural Center The Centennial Cultural Center is hosting their annual Literacy Camp on August lst-3rd from 9:00- 11:30 a.m. for ages 7-12 years. We will also be hosting a stained glass class August 8th-10th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for beginners with a fee of $15 and and 1 to 4 p.m. for advanced with a fee of $35. Space is limited for all camps and classes. Please call the Cultural Center at 495-7988 between the hours of 9 a.m. to I p.m. Monday-Friday. Senior Adult Fellowship The monthly Senior Adult Fellowship at the Trout Church of the Nazarene will be this Thursday, July 26th at 10 a.m. Lisa Bradford, daughter of Carroll and Dee Bradford, will be sharing about her recent mission trip. Everyone will enjoy this presen- tation as Lisa is very excited about what she has experienced. Senior adults are welcome to come and enjoy this time of fellowship, sharing and good food.
