Carlson, O.D. was honored as the North Dakota Young Op- tometrist of the Year in 1994, and WHEREAS, Dr. Carlson was honored as the North Dakota Optometrist of the Year in 2003, and WHEREAS, Dr. Carlson was elected to serve as the first woman president of the North Dakota Optometric Association in 1998, and WHEREAS, Dr. Carlson was elected to serve as the first woman president in the l 13 year history of the American Optometric Association in 201 l, and WHEREAS, Dr: Carlson is a highly respected and valuable member of the Park River medical and business community as well as the community at large.
