Sharon Lee Sim- mons was born March 11, 1948 in Cavalier, ND, the daughter of the late Claude and Alice (Hanson) Simmons. She attended school in Hoople and graduated from the Park River High School. She was united in marriage to Louis Schu- fletowski on November 20, 1965 in Griffon, ND. The couple made their home in Larimore while Louis worked at the Air Force Base. The couple then returned back to Park River. She worked for Larry's Food Center and later as a Supervisor for Friendship un- til her retirement in 2010. Louis passed away March 12, 2013. Sharon loved spending time at the lake with her family and friends. She loved flowers, gar- dening, cooking and canning. She was a member of the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Park River, ND. Sharon is sur- vived by her sons: Louis (Sharon) Schufletowski, Jr., West Fargo, ND; Mitchell Schufle- towski, Fargo,'ND; Jason Schufletows- ki, Fargo, ND; granddaughter Cas- sandra Schufle- towski, Fargo, ND; brother Ron (Becky) Simmons, Jamestown, ND; sister Sue (Doug) Foerster, Grand Forks, ND; sister- in-law Fran Simmons, Park Riv- er, ND; Godson Dustin Slaamod. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis and brother Larry Sim- mons. A private family service will be held. Pec- ka, age 88 of Park River, ND passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Florence M. No- vak was born No- vember 1, 1924 in Walsh County, ND the daughter of the late Anton and Mar- garet (Barta) Novak. After attending rural school, she worked at home and for her Aunt Julia Burris. Florence was united in marriage to George Pecka on October 27, 1949 at St. Mark's Catholic Church of Con- way, ND. The couple resided in Conway until her husband passed away in 1974. Florence later lived 'in Pisek until she moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Park River where she has been a resi- dent for the last 19 years. Florence is .survived by her brothers: Cy (Delores) Novak, Leonard (Ellen) Novak, both of Grafton, ND; Her- man (Pat) Novak, Fargo, ND; sisters: Edith Flint, Casa Grundy, AZ and Doris (Dick) Wil- helmi, Blue Earth, MN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and broth- ers: Tony Novak and Vivian No- yak. Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Park River. Visitation was Tuesday from 9-11:00 A.M. at the church.
