VVha00 is your law)rite 4-H project arear Sandra Kjelland, 13 Parents: Jim and Marlys Kjelland of Park River "Clothing and Textiles" Kenzie Jacobson, 8 Parents: Katie and Craig Jacobson of Park River "Drawing and Painting" LaVerne Kaye Heffta LaVerne Kaye Heffta, age 76 of rural Park River and Adams, ND passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 ather home near Park River. LaVerne Kaye Midtlyng was born September 24, 1937 in Gmfion, ND the daughter of the late Ingbrigt and Ellen (Westberg) Midt- lyng. She attended rural school at the Benas Memorial School near Adams and graduated from Adams High School. Kaye was united in marriage to Oscar Hefla Jr. on Feb- ruary 25, 1955 in Nekoma, ND. The couple made their home in Latona Township of Walsh County where they farmed unitl 1996 when they moved to their home near Park Riv- er. Kaye was a member of the for- mer Sarepta Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday school for many years. She was an active 4-H leader and a 58 year member of the Kraft Klub. She was currently a member of the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church and WELCA. Funeral services will be Wednes- day, July 16, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church of Adams, ND. Visitation was held Tuesday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Sarepta Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Adams, ND. The Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River is in charge of the arrangements.
