PROJECT SAFE SEND, GRAFTON Area Project Safe Send dates include July 23 at 519 South St. Michigan and July 24 at 333 Commerce St. Grafton. The program accepts old, unusable or banned pesticides, including herbicides, insecticides, rodenticides and fungicides. The collected pesticides are shipped out of state for incineration. Project Safe Send is funded through product registration fees paid by pesticide manufacturers. People with more than 1,000 pounds of pesticides should pre-register at least two days prior to delivery. No other pre-registration is required. A maximum of 20,000 pounds of pesticides per participant will be accepted. Pesticide rinse water and empty containers are no longer accepted.
