News from Four Season's Garden Club By JoAnn Corder PARK RIVER, N.D. -- Four Season's Garden Club met in May to travel to Helen's Country Greenhouse near Voss, N.D. All members viewed and purchased many lovely flowers. This' was followed by a luncheon at Shenanigans in Grafton. Judy O'Shea, co-president, presided at the business meeting. The members also gathered for their June meeting at Out to Lunch Cafd in Park River. Judy O'Shea called the meeting to order. Business matters on the agenda were discussed and it was also decided that the members will meet at Out to Lunch on July 26 at 5:00 p.m. for a meal and then go to George and Faye Moen's farm for a tour around the grounds. In 1994, she was honored as the North Dakota Young Optometrist of the Year and as the Optometrist of the Year in 2003. In October of 2010, Carlson embarked on a 20/20 tour starting at her alma mater. "'As part of my responsibilities, I've committed to visiting with students and FROM PAGE 1 faculty at all 19 schools and colleges of optometry in the United States, as well as at Optometry's Meeting. That's 20 destinations in 20 months," said Carlson. Dr. Carlson is a native of Hallock, MN. She and her husband, Dr. Mark Helgesom have two sons, Seth and Ian. Carlson and her husband opened Heartland Eye Care in 1990. Junes I. Englerth, age 99 of Park River, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Junes Ingnette Wick was born November 30, 1911 in Columbus, ND the daughter of the late Gilbert and Julia (Toso) Wick. She graduated from the Robinson High School in 1930 and attended Mayville State Teachers College for two years. She was united in marriage to Leo L. Englerth on August 27, 1932 in Bowdon, ND. The couple moved to Park River in 1953 and Junes taught school in Park River for 17 years. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and WELCA of Park River, ND, the North Dakota Retired Teachers Association and the Happy Hour Senior Citizens. Junes is survived by her sons: Larry (Mary) Englerth, Peoria, AZ; Quentin (Joyce) Englerth, Junes I. Englerth Englerth, Bradley Englerth, Troy Englerth and Teri Englerth; 11 ":'2: great grandchildren: Nicole, R.J. Michael, Brian Nealon, Sarah Allen, Jack Englerth, Austin, Bailey and Taylor Englerth, :--.); Sydney and Brady Englerth; her f.., sister: Lillian Gunsch, " Jamestown, ND; brother Lester <.:: (Minnie) Wick, Jamestown, ND.
