PAGE 12 THE PRESS JULY 3, 2013 Camp Good Mourning takes over PRBC On June 28 to 30, Park River Bible Camp was host to Altru Hospice's 15th annual Camp Good Mourning. The grief camp for children ages six to 18 focuses on helping children and-teens express their feelings _and learn healthy coping skills. Top Left: Camp Coordinator Sue Ma!rs roasts marshmallows with the camPers. She had a busy week- end with a full camp of 50 campers, each with their own councilors and joined by numerous volunteers. Top Center: Camp councilor Tyler helps camper Jack make smores. Right: Camp councilor Rachael roasts marshmallows with camper Sam with other campers hanging out around the campfire. Middle Left: Camper Izzy participates in the egg toss. Middle Center: Camper Alexis tie-dyes her Camp Good Mourning shirt. Bottom Center: The camp concluded with a memorial service and a tree planting ceremony where careers, councilors, and f_emily members reflected on their loss. Marlys Miller sits with her daughter Kelly Schanilec. She and her family tiave been dealing with the loss  her son Guy Miller whowent missing after his vehicle was washed off the road.
