It has been years since babies have been delivered in area rural towns, with most expectant mothers be- ing directed to Grand Forks in the final weeks of pregnancy, but Jax had other plans. He decided that Park River was just as good of a place as any to make his debut. "I was scheduled to be in in- duced on Tuesday and they didn't have room," said Jax's mother Jennifer Kubat. So Altru's Fami- ly Birthing Center said to call back on Thursday. "In my mind I'm thinking 'What about Wednes- day?'" "I've been induced for all of them," She said of her five previ- ous deliveries. "My husband had two, I had four, and we've had two together so we have eight all together," Jen- nifer said of their large family.
