She was born November 7th 1934 to Lars and Hannah (Nelson) Omdahl in Con- way, ND. Doris Attended Conway Public School in Conway. In July 1958 she married Clarence (Archie) Gilbertson in Graflon, ND. She worked at the Conway Store and also was involved with her family in operation of North- land Naturals. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She en- joyed gardening and being out- doors, meeting people and spend- ing time with family and her sis- ters. She especially enjoyed her time spent with the staff and res- idents at the Park River Good Samaritan. She was proceeded in death by fanP siblings, her husband, brothers Harris, Douglas, Donald and David. Doris is survived by two daughters Theresa (Joel) Minchinton of Rochester, MN, De- bra (Randal) Egstad of Grand Forks, ND, five grandchil- dren, Matthew Minchinton and Ryan Minchinton of Rochester, MN, Keith Egstad and Jeremy Egstad of Grand Forks, ND and Holly Egstad of Fargo, ND. Hall, age 88 of Edinburg, ND passed away at his home in Edin- burg. Norman S. Hall was born April 27, 1926 in Edin- burg, ND the son of the late Frank and Anne (Johanneson) Hall. He attended schools in Gardar, ND and Park River, ND. Following his education Norman served in the United States Navy, serving from 1944-1946. Follow- ing his discharge from the Navy he enlisted in the Merchant Marines and served unti11948. Heretumed home and started farming with his father and brothers near Edin- burg. In the winter months, Norman would move to Grand Forks where he worked for Ryan Potato Com- pany and drove taxi cabs. He retired in 1979. Norman married Alice G. Eagleson Christenson on Novem- ber 20, 1982 in Edinburg. The couple made their home in Edin- burg. They enjoyed spending their winters down south. She passed away on October 10, 2008. Norman was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Edin- burg and the Edinburg American Legion Post. He is survived by his step-daughter, Rosalie Roy, Devils Lake, ND; three step-grandchildren: Roxanne Landon, Tracy Roy and Shawn Roy, step great grandson, Hunter Roy and sev- eral nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his three brothers: Bennie, Lloyd and Vernon and sister, Asta Swen- son McIntosh. Funeral services were held Sat- urday, June 14, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Hitter- dahl Lutheran Cemetery, rural Adams, ND. Military rites were provided by the Edinburg Ameri- can Legion Post and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard. The family members of Ilah Spoonland wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to our friends and relatives who offered prayers and condolences, sent cards and memorials, and did many acts of kindness during the time of the death of our mother.
