This past week both peaches and strawberries were on the market. I do like peaches so I looked for a peach recipe and came up with this dessert. It was good as well as easy to make. Peach Salad Dissolve: 1 large pkg. peach jell-o 1 1/2 C. boiling water Add: 1 C. cut up peaches 1 can mandarin oranges and juice 1 large pkg. cream of cheese Stir all ingredients until smooth and not lumpy. Add: 1 large can crushed pineapple (un-drained) 1 medium carton cool whip Mix well and put into a 9 x 13 inch pan and let set Strawberry Dream Whip 1 (3 oz) pkg. strawberry jell-o 1/2 C. cold milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 pkg. Dream Whip ; 1/2 C. sliced strawberries Few whole berries Prepare jell-o according to instructions. Chill until it begins to thicken. Beat with beater thick and fluffy. Combine milk, vanilla and Dream Whip in a bowl. Blend and beat till mixture forms soft peaks. Fold into whipped jell'o and sliced berries. Pour into a Pyrex dish or small dessert dishes. Garnish with whole berries. Chocolate Delight Dessert 1st Layer: 1 C. flour 1 C. nuts, chopped fine 1 stick, (1/2 C.) margarine Mix together, pat into bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees, cool. 2ndLayer: 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese 1 C. powdered sugar 1 C. Cool Whip Mix cream cheese and sugar until well blended. Fold in Cool Whip, layer on tip of the first layer. 3rd layer: 2 boxes (small) instant chocolate pudding 3 C. (scant) milk Prepare as on package. 4th Layer: Top with Cool Whip, refrigerate overnight. Orange Salad 16 oz. carton cottage cheese 3 oz. pkg. orange flavored jell- o 11 oz. can mandarin oranges, drained 8 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained 1 small carton Cool Whip. Combine first 4 ingredients, blend well. Fold in Cool-Whip, chill. Serve on a bed of lettuce.
