TJmra]son Laveme E. Thar- alson, 95, of Hoople, ND. passed away April 9, 2018 at First Care Health Center, Park River, ND. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Hoople, ND. Visitation at the church for one hour before the time of services. Laveme Edith Hove was born June 13, 1922 in Grafton, ND. to Ole and Edith (Larson) Hove. She grew up in the Grafton area where she attended District 110 Country School. In 1940, she graduated from Grafton High School. Laverne then went to work as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell working in Grafton and Berkeley, CA. On November 6, 1946, she married Allan Tharalson at Grafton Lutheran Church. After their marriage they lived in Hoople and she continued living in the home they built in 1950. Al- lan and Laverne were instrumen- tal in the plans and raising funds for the Hoople Pool. She spent five years living with her daughter Ruth in Las Vegas, NV. She was a mem- ber of the Ameri- can Legion Auxil- iary for 68 years, and also a member of the Homemak- ers Club, Band Boosters, the First Lutheran Church Women and First Lutheran Church. Laverne was always willing to offer a helping hand with trans- portation and making sure she filled the car with friends for the next social event. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Hall (Danny Carvalho), Hoople, ND; grandchildren: Jacob (Brandi) Hall, Las Vegas, NV, Erik (Katrina) Tharalson, Denver, CO, Molly (Kyle) Prevost, Birdie, Manitoba; great-granddaughter, Logan Janine. Also survived by a sister, Marion (Arleigh) Birk, Hoyt Lakes, MN; sister-in-law, Margaret Nelson, Mayville, ND; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Allan; and son, Roger. Online guestbook at www. askewfuneralhome.com IAnda Elaine Johannesson Wehrman Linda Elaine Johannesson Wehrman, age 73 of Donnybrook, ND passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at North Me- morial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. Linda E. Johan- nesson was born on November 26, 1944 in Grafton, ND the daughter of the late Gudmundur "Boody" and Ellen (Anderson) Johannesson. She at- tended school in Gardar and grad- uated from Edinburg High School in 1962. Linda attended the Uni- versity of North Dakota where she met the love of her life Willis Wehrman. They were married on October 16, 1965 in Gardar, ND. The couple began their married life together in Madelia, MN. They also lived in Moorhead, MN, Idaho Falls, ID, Donny- brook, ND and Rogers, MN. She worked as a church secretary in Moorhead and Idaho Falls. Her patience, kindness and politeness were ever present traits. Linda is survived by her hus- band, Willis of Donnybrook, ND; five daughters: Lana Wehrman, Brooklyn Park, MN; Terri (Dwain) Urvig, Dayton, MN; Patty (Chad) Welsh, Moorhead, MN; Janet (lain) Wehrman Harri- man, Burnsville, MN; Diane Wehrman (Chris Lindblad), Man- dan, ND. Grand- children that will miss her dearly in- clude Andrew, David, Michael and Timothy Urvig, Dylan and Gavin Welsh, Kaelan Harnman, Ethan and Nora Lindblad, her brother: Gary (Rose- mary) Johannesson, Green Valley AZ. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held Sat- urday, May 26, 2018 at 5:00 PM at the Gardar Lutheran Church, Gardar, ND. Visitation was Sat- urday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Pioneer Cemetery, Gardar, ND.
