Beatrice Kjelland and Elaina Swartz both won two individual events and both were members on win- ning relay teams. Kjelland won the 100 meter dash (12.54) and the 200 lay. Pad<River (26.14). Swartz won the 100 meter hurdles (16.34) and the W^. ^ o^,.. High Jump (4-11). OtherAggies that produced points not already men- DOII] relays, tioned above were Katie Bohn who took third in the Javelin By Kevin Skavhaug of The Press LARIMORE, N.D. -- The day couldn't have been more per- fect tbr the Park River 4x 100 meter relay team. Vying for a top three state qualifying finish, little did they know they end up Win- ning the entire event. The Aggies ran a blistering 46.44 over the 400 meters to win the event. "Our handoffs clicked today," said senior member Carter Arendt; "and then we just ran," Cadyn Hunter, Austin Moe, and Levi Cudmore are the other three members of the relay team. This same combination finished third in the 4 x200 meter relay which also gets them a spot in this week's state track meet in Bismarck. Another notable performance came from junior Spencer Re- hovsky. Like Arendt, Rehovsky had just finished his 18 holes of the regional golf tournament and caught a ride from a Lari- more player to the meet. He arrived just in time to record a per- sonal best throw in the Javelin (164-11) and an upset victory over state leading thrower Aaron Sletten ofLarimore. Sletten had not lost in a meet up to this point. The Aggies totaled 71 points to finish in fourth place. Grafton/St. Thomas won the meet with 135 points. Other Ag- gies that provided points in events not already mentioned were Levi Cudmore (fifth in Javelin and fifth in the 100), Cadyn Hunter (fourth in 100), Cole Clemetson (sixth in Javelin), Rehovsky (fifth in Discus), Austin Moe (fourth in Triple Jump and fourth in High Jump), Sam Sveen (fifth in 400) and Owen Irvine (eighth in 400). The top three finishers in the region meet qualify for state. Others on both relays are Carter Arendt and Cadyn Hunter. and qualified for state. Hannah Swartz finished :seventh in the 400 and seventh in the 300 Hurdles. Emily Laaveg finished seventh in the 100 Hurdles. Hillsboro-CV won the meet with 162 points; while Lang- don was second with 136. The Aggies tallied 87, edging out Thompson (85) for third. The DVE Titans had an impressive showing at this year's Region girls track meet finishing sixth out of 1.4 teams. The Titans picked up points from Laiken Larson (second in High Jump 4-11). Taylor Reilly finished in sixth in the High Jump (4-5) and second in the Pole Vault (8-6). Madison Johnson finished sixth in the 100 Hurdles and seventh in the Triple Jump. Your ad goes here!
