merak, age 88, of
Park River, ND
passed away on April
24, 2017 at the
Lutheran Sunset
Home of Grafion.
Wallace was born
on April 7, 1929 in
Grafton, the son of
the late Vilhelm
"William" and Odelia
(Dalll) Momeml He
graduated from the
Walsh County Agricultural School
in Park River and attended the Unl-
versity of North Dakota for one year.
Wallace returned home to begin his
lifelong carpentry career. Wallace.
was united in marriage to Elda P. Pe-
terson on April 5, 1958 in Grafion.
They resided in Park River and
raised their family. His carpentry
skills were honed by working with
his father and later with his youngest
brother, Leonard. He worked for
Adamsen Construction of Grafton
and was later self-employed.
Wallace was a member 0fthe Our
Saviour's Lutheran Church of Park
River.
Wallace is survived by his chil-
dren: Cheryl (Steve) Church, Dray-
ton, ND; Carol (Ronnie) Phillips,
Rochester, MN; Douglas (Connie)
Momerak, Grand Forks, ND; grand-
children: Ali and Jacob Church,
Drayton, ND; Bryce, Blaine and
Brandi Momerak, Grand Forks;
siblings: Ordean (Darlene) Mo-
merak, Minot, ND;
Bernice (Ed)
Pengilly, Langdon,
ND; Wilma Gem-
mill, Edinburg, ND;
Leonard (Adele)
Momerak, Grafion,
ND; brother-in-law,
Floyd (Doris) Pe-
tel,son, Blaine, MN;
sister-in-law, De-
laine (John) Rus-
sum, Grafton, ND.
Several nieces and
nephews also survive. He was pre-
ceded in death by his parents, wife
Elda, granddaughter, Ashley Mo-
merak, brother and sister-in-law,
Harvey (Phyllis) Momerak, sister
and brother-in-law, Donna (Marvin)
Mertens and brother-in-law, Gordon
Gemmill.
Memorial services were held
Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 2:00
P.M. at Our Saviour's Lutheran
Church of Park River. Visitation was
for one hour prior to the service at
the church. Inurimaent will be at Me-
morial Park Cemetery; Park River,
North Dakota.
Memorials are preferred to the
Our Saviour's Lutheran Church
Radio Fund or to the Park River Sen-
ior Citizens Meal Program.
