Waish County 4-H holds Variet) Show and00 00wards Day for 2013 PARK RIVER, N.D. -- The an- nual Walsh County 4-H Variety Show and Awards Day was held on Sunday, April 13th at the Park Riv- er City Hall. 4-H'ers Hayley Fin- garson, Edinburg, and Abby Zik- mund, Pisek, emceed the event, which included three 4-H clubs presenting fun and unique skits. The Hayshakers 4-H club earned top honors and a $25 prize for their run- way fashion show and their inter- esting take on Walsh County fash- ion styles. Tim Hodek, Fairdale, and Emi- ly Zikmund, Pisek, shared their experiences from judging at the Na- tional Land Judging contest in Oklahoma from the spring of 2013. Newly organized Walsh County 4- H Ambassadors also updated the au- dience on the promotional and serv- ice learning opportunities they were tackling for the upcoming year. Jacqi Zikmund, Pisek, Walsh Coun- ty 4-H Council President presented the Outstanding 4-H members and Outstanding 4-H Club awards. The following award winners were announced during the Variety Show: OUTSTANDING 4-H MEM- BERS: Andrew Bmmmond, Park River, and Hayley Fingarson, Ed- ' inburg. ,+, OUTSTANDING4=H'CLLTB S: Flatlanders, HayshakerS; Made in the USA Kids, Seven Rustlers and the Walsh Winners. The Flatlanders are led by Loft Zahradka, Lawton, Susie Narloch, Drayton, and Jenny Napier, Grafion. The Hayshakers are led by Mark and Kori Hodek, Fairdale, and Dave Haslekaas, Mil- ton. Made in the USA Kids are led by Jaqci and Julie Zikmund, both of Pisek, and Helen Zikmund, Minto. The Seven Rustlers are led by Todd Knutson, Dahlen, Jon Beneda, Lankin, and Lori Temquist, Michi- gan and the Walsh Winners are led by Becky and Brent Nelson, Caafion and Faye Ramsey, Sue Brummond, Anna Ramsey, Marlys Kjelland, and Megan Ramsey, all of Park Riv- er.
