APRIL 16, 2014 The Good Samaritan Society's 3rd Annual Father/Daughter Dance was a success yet again, thanks to the generosity and support from the following local area businesses: Askim Auction Service, Jim's Super Valu, Heartland Eye Care, Samson Electric, First United Insurance Agency, First United Bank, Midgarden Family Clinic, Park River Dental, 2C Plumbing, Northdale Oil, Ye Olde Medicine Center, Tollefson Funeral Home, Summertime DQ Gril & Chill and Lon's Hardware. Gerald was born on April 22, 1930 at Adams, North Dakota. He will be lovingly re- membered by his daughters, Peggy (Don Pichler), Jack- ie (Blaine Canitz), Carla (Jack Miller) and grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Anton, Aaron, Jezzamy, Chesa (Luke Smith, L J, Charley); his partner Helen Bentley and her daughters, Karen (Jeff), Kathy and Mackenzie. He is survived by his sisters, Marie Setnes, Loretta Gorder and Alva Rike (Larry), nuberous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Marcy and brother Kenneth. Gerald's kind and loving heart touched many people. He loved Frovarp farming and was the proud owner of the South Sask. River Potato Company for many years. He en- joyed travelling and spending his win- ters with Helen and his sisters in Ari- zona. His favorite hobby was attending family gatherings. He loved to be with people and have a' good laugh. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, Sammy and Shadow. A Celebration of Gerald's life was held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at HiUcrest Funeral Home. We extend a sincere "Thank You" to the doctors, nurses and staff at Royal University Hospital for their concern and compassion shown to Gerald and family during this difficult time.
