PARK RIVER, N.D. -- The
Lyric Continues (TLC) committee
to help save the Lyric Theatre is
Park River has been hard at work
raising funds for ongoing renova-
tions including new seats and an up-
dated entry with renovated bath-
rooms, as well as a shift into the dig-
ital age with a new digital projec-
tor for the small-town movie theater.
The committee currently is sell-
ing raffle tickets with a chance to
win a Cenex Girl Card to help
raise funds for the project. The
prizes are:
• First prize, $500 gift card
• Second prize, $250 gift card
• Third prize, $250 gift card
Raffle tickets are available from
any committee member and at First
United Bank in Park River and
Adams as well as the following Park
River locations:

In his new position, Erickson
will conduct routine inspections
and investigations of farms, ranch-
es, dealers, distributors and man-
ufacturers, related to the sale, dis-
tribution and use of pesticides.
Erickson will be based in Park
River and will cover northeastern
North Dakota, including Cava-
lier, Grand Forks, Griggs, Nelson,
Pembina, Steele, Traill and Walsh
counties.
He will report to Blake Schaan,
NDDA pesticide enforcement su-
pervisor.

Ellingson was born
February 17, 1938 to
the late John and Ju-
lia (Griffin) John-
son in Hermantown,
MN. She graduated
from High School there. Jeanne was
currently making her home in
Adams. Jeanne spent several sum-
mers as the caretaker for the Adams
City Park.
Jeanne is survived by her chil-
dren: Robert (Taunya) Moore,
Grafton, ND and Julie Ann Moore
of Minneapolis, MN; eight grand-
children and eight great grand-
children. She was preceded in

It is with profound sadness that' of the South Sask. River Potato
Gerald's family announces his
peaceful passing on March 21,
2014 at RUH surrounded by fam-
ily. Gerald was born on April 22,
1930 at Adams, North Dakota. He
will be lovingly remembered by his
daughters, Peggy (Don Pichler),
Jackie (Blaine Canitz), Carla (Jack
Miller) and grandchildren, Sarah,
Rachel, Anton, Aaron, Jezzamy,
Chesa (Luke Smith, LJ, Charley);
his partner Helen Bentley and her
daughters, Karen (Jeff), Kathy and
Mackenzie. He is survived by his
sisters, Marie Setnes, Loretta
Gorder and Alva Rike (Larry),
nuberous nieces, nephews and
cousins. He was predeceased by his
wife Marcy and brother Kenneth.
Gerald's kind and loving heart
touched many people. !-Ie loved
farming and was the proud owner
Company for many years. He en-
joyed travelling and spending his
winters with Helen and his sisters
in Arizona. His favorite hobby was
attending family gatherings. He
loved to be with people and have a
good laugh. He will be greatly
missed by family, friends, Sammy
and Shadow. A Celebration of Ger-
ald's life was held on Friday, March
28, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
