Team Lil' Ferg has been raising money for the March of Dimes March tbr Babies by selling pink T- shirts with Team Lil' Ferg on the front and Piper's lucky number -- 24 (weeks and two days) -- on the back. Shirts are $20 each and all profits go toward the March. "So far we have raised over $1000 by selling team Lil' Ferg shirts," Tanya said. Anyone inter- ested in ordering a shirt, made locally by D's Designs, can inquire at Ye Olde Medicine Center. Sizes range from youth small to 6XL. Donations also can be made on- line at http://tinyurl.coln/pb4pcdk where contributions over $10 will also get donors the chance to vote for Piper Ferguson in the cutest baby contest. According to the website "The child with the most votes/do- nations as of midnight April 15, 2015 will be the 2015 March of Dimes North Dakota Chapter Cutest Baby Contest Winner. That child will have their own 'photo shoot' and will serve as the poster child for healthy babies throughout the remainder of 2015." Though now Piper could be the poster child for healthy babies, her morn said that it seems like just yes- terday when her little girl's life was in the hands of the countless doctors and ntwses who tended to her day af- ter day. "It is a scaly thne for any parent," Tanya said of having a child pre- maturely, but for her family it was especially terrifying because of the high level of uncertainty involved. " the littlest you can be to survive. Yeal ago she wouldn't have survived," she said. "It's because of programs like March of Dimes that babies are surviving at longer ges- tational ages." The Grand Forks March for Ba- bies is scheduled for April 11 and the Fargo March for Babies is set for April 18.
