Area students GRAND FORKS, N.D. --The University of North Dakota held Winter Commencement ceremonies Thursday and Friday, Dec. 15 and 16, with President Mark IL Kennedy presiding at each. It was his first set of commencement exercises since taking office. By the end of Friday, Kennedy had presided over three ceremonies for a total of 920 graduating students, 683 of them undergraduates, and had used the latest Star Wars movie, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," as a springboard to talk about the Star Wars saga to set the stage for his commencement address.
