PAGE 8 THE PRESS N.RCH 26, 2014 B iris' I Lakota-Edmore Raiders finish fif00 C Pholos: Larry Biri Above: The Lakola-Edmore Raider girls capped their season in style, capturing the filth place trophy at the Stale B Girls Basketball Tournament at the Fargodome. The girls opened with Grafton two years ago and this year they opened the tournament against Minot Bishop Ryan. Both teams went on to win the championship. Ryan winners of last year's tournament tied Larimore's consecutive win record of 57 straight. The Raiders traded basket for basket in the second half but couldn't overcome a 33-16 halftime deficit in falling 64-45. Fallyn Freije netted 19 pts and Shaye Ronningen finished with 10. The Raiders downed Watford City 58-41 in the con- solation semifinals. Shay eRonningen led the Raiders with 21, Fallyn Freije had 15 and Mary Haman finished with 11.Lakota, Ede went on to defeat Kidder County 40-39 for fifth place. Fallyn Freije broke a 37-37 tie with 16 seconds left hitting a three-point bas- ket. Fallyn finished with 23 points.
