Morning Pre-K class learning to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Cassidy Brodina and Cassie Richardson salute the flag after reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. (Photos: Submitted) By Trisha Cole I pledge Allegiance to the flag ... They may only be 4 and 5 years old but their eagerness to learn about our country and what these words mean is larger than life. This President's Day the Pre-K students at Park River Elementary enjoyed learning about their nation's history. George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were popular topics. The students were enthusiastic to learn about our past Presidents. Many students already knew that Barack Obama All about msm i, was our current President and they Obama was not actually coming enjoyed seeing the White House fbr a visit. They thought if Santa on the computer. They were a could come at Christmas that little disappointed that President Barack Obama should be able to visit on President's Day. Students are also in the process of learning the "Pledge of Allegiance" and the meaning of these words. They are enjoying reciting it each day and give "Old Glory" a hearty salute as they finish. President's Day was another fun day in Pre-K. The students learned many new things that will hopefully begin to spark feelings of respect and patriotism for our country.
