The PRFL boys basketball team and thePark River FCA jointly sponsored a Samaritan's Feet event at the Thompson game where they raised money for athletes within the state who cannot afford shoes. The coaches went barefoot to atletesreSent the need for shoes for our young Larry said, "In my mind it was a huge success as people showed generous support." How do you begin to thank everyone for all the wonderful acts of kindness shown to us in the loss of my wonderful husband, Ronnie of 31 years; and he was more than that - he was an uncle, grandfather, great- grandfather, a friend and neighbor. Many thanks for the cards, phone calls, visits, food and prayers.Special thanks to my sister, Marl, Pam, Joann, Mary and granddaughter Melissa for all the extras I couldn't do alone. To Pastor Keil for his beautiful singing and service which he truly honored Ronnie with his kind words; to Joyce and Marie for their music and the ladies who took care of the lunch for us; to our own Dr. Johnson and staff and also Altru Hospital, 2nd Floor in Grand Forks. Call the Press at 284-6333 Penny Rose Penny Rose Kram, age 66 of Park River passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the First Care Health Center of Park River. Penny Rose Yates was bom Feb- ruary 25, 1948 in Aurora, Colorado, the daughter of the late Stanley and Elise (Gullion) Yates. She gradu- ated from Aurora Central High School in 1965. Penny was united in marriage to Du- ane Kram on Sep- tember 26, 1975 in Aurora, Colorado. The couple made their home in Col- orado and Califor- nia. In 1990 they moved back to Col- orado. She worked as a teacher's Assistant in California and Col- orado. In 2004 they moved to Park River, ND and continued to make their home there until the time of her death. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, a past president of St. Mary's Auxil- iary and a past president of the Park River American Legion Aux- iliary. She enjoyed canning and Reading the Bible and other books. Penny is survived by her hus- band Duane Kram, Park River, ND; children: David Kram, Minneapo- lis, MN; Kelley Kram, Grafton, ND; grandchil- dren: Miranda, Alexys, Chris, Kyler, Jayden, Cody and Joey; brothers: Ted (Ona) Yates, Col- orado Springs, CO; John Yates, Vic- torville, CA; sis- ters: Anita Bow- den, Bluefield, VA; Sue Reynolds, Redding, CA; spe- cial friends: Judi Witt, Park River, ND; Kim Cyr, Denver, CO; Cathy Davis Dutton, Lake Havasu City, AZ. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation was on Thursday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
