Students become certified By: Nancy Larson At Park River High School one of the required classes for all ninth grade students is a semester of Health. As part of that class we do cover a chapter in first aid and CPR for shock and choking and responding to common emergencies. On Thursday, January 12, 18 students in the ninth Grade Health Class were certified in CPR in a class taught by Dan Young and Heidi Restemeyer. They learned what to do if they came upon a victim that was not responding, basic CPR breaths and compressions, and choking. The students that were in attendance will receive a certification. Second semester the 2nd half of the 9th grade will go through CPR training so that all student in 9th will be certified.
